ISTT-pris till Hawle Water Technology Norge AS

ISTT har delat ut priset i kategorien New Machine Award till Hawle Water Technology Norge AS. Priset delades ut vid den 36:e ISTT-konferensen, som arrangerades i Kapstaden Sydafrika 8-9 oktober.

ISTT-konferensen samlade cirka 250 deltagare från hela världen och bestod av utställningar av leverantörer och presentationer. I samband med galamiddagen delades ISTT-priserna ut och en av vinnarna var alltså norska Hawle Water Technology.

Hawle Water Technology Norge AS fick priset med följande motivering:

"Hawle NoDig system - The first entirely trenchless solution for establishing water house connections

Only a few of the full range of "trenchless" technologies are completely "No Dig." This has been particularly true for the installation of pressure pipes for water and gas along city streets - where the need to install service lines to the properties or just to make a pressure-tight connection typically has required the excavation of pits at each service connection. To encourage the development of a truly trenchless solution for water service connections, a "NoDig Challenge" was announced in 2014 by the Oslo VAV (Waterworks). Rising to this challenge was Hawle Water Technology Norge AS who developed/integrated a variety of components to allow the remote drilling and connection of a service line to the water main in the street without any excavation in the street. The technology includes a gyro-based pipe logger, a drilling system allowing precision guidance to intercept the water main and a robotic multi-tool connection procedure to make a pressure-tight connection. After development and testing, Hawle was selected as the winner of the Oslo VAV challenge in August 2017 and is a very worthy recipient of this ISTT award."
